Henry Wallace "Joe" Hinnant

Henry Wallace “Joe” Hinnant, 90 of New Bern (formerly of Wilson), passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

Joe was a retired Master Sargeant with the United States Air Force, where he spent eight years of his career active service, and reserves for thirty years. He loved to golf and fish when time allowed.

Visitation will be from 10am until 11:30am on Saturday, December 20th, at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Pkwy, Wilson. Graveside services will be at 12pm on Saturday, December 20th at Buckhorn Cemetery, Hwy 42 & NC HWY 581 Kenly, NC.

In lieu of flowers, Joe requested that donations be made to The Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Long (Jeff); granddaughter, Lindsey Braden (Jenna Jerome); great-grandchildren, Alexis “Alex” Braden and Landon Braden; and sister, Della A. Bissette (Linwood).

Preceding him in death are his parents, Wiley Hinnant and Mable Mumford; brothers, Jim and Bobby Earl Hinnant; and sister, Lou Bass.
