Jackie "Jack" Lee Kimbrell

Jackie "Jack" Lee Kimbrell, 89 of Rocky Mount, formerly of Fitzgerald, GA, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Jack was a veteran of the Air Force and loved serving his country. He loved the Lord, and his church family at Oak View Baptist Church. Jack loved life, and was always laughing and cutting up. He owned an upholstery business for many years, worked for Levi Co., and was a former bus driver for the school system in Fitzgerald, GA.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 24th, from 12:00pm until 1:00pm at Oak View Baptist Church, 2412 Arlington St, Rocky Mount, NC. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at a later date at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Ambrose, GA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to Kitty Askins Hospice, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

He is survived by his fiancé, Helen Boyd Winstead; son, Michael Kimbrell (Cynthia); daughter, Jackie Lemmons (Michael), brother, James Alexander (Sherry); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his father, Joseph Kimbrell; mother and stepfather, Elma and Obide Morris Alexander; brothers, Cecil and Carl Kimbrell; and sister, Gwenell Walsh.
