It is with profound sadness and immense love that we announce the passing of Jackie O’Neal, a radiant soul whose presence brought light, laughter, and love to everyone around her. Jackie passed away surrounded by her cherished family, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, humor, and unwavering strength.
Born to the late William Clyde Evans and Mary Jane Evans, Jackie was raised with strong values of family, kindness, and resilience, qualities she carried with her throughout her life. She honored her parents' legacy through the love she poured into her own family.
Jackie was the beloved wife of Bobby O’Neal, her steadfast partner of sixty-six beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, faith, and a deep dedication to family. Their bond was one of true companionship, an inspiring example of enduring love and commitment.
Jackie was the devoted mother of three children; her late son, Keith O’Neal, whose memory remained forever close to her heart. Keith is survived by his son, Brian O’Neal, and daughter-in-law Amory O’Neal, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Brina O’Neal and Ezra O’Neal, her late son, Bobby Wayne O’Neal, whose life and memory she carried with her always, and her daughter, Rhonda O’Neal, who was a source of great pride and joy. Rhonda’s children, Christina Moton, married David Moton, and Tyler Davis who were deeply loved by Jackie. She especially cherished her great-grandchildren, Naomi and James Moton. Jackie was a loving sister to Vicky White and her brothers, Fred Evans and wife, Bonnie, Ralph Evans and wife, Carol, and Ricky Evans and Darlene; sister-in-law, Patsy Bissette and numerous nieces and nephesw.
Jackie was the loving daughter to her parents, Clyde and Jane Evans who preceded her in death along with her brother, Houston Evans.
Jackie O’Neal was the heart of her family, their foundation and their joy. She was an amazing wife, a wonderful mother, and, without question, the world’s best grandmother. Known for her infectious laugh, quick wit, and the ability to light up any room, Jackie was the life of every gathering. Her humor brought people together, her warmth lifted spirits, and her presence made every moment more meaningful.
Though she is no longer with us, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Her spirit lives on through the many lives she touched, her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, each a testament to the love and joy she gave so freely.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.
