James "Junior" Albert Davis Jr.

James Albert Davis Jr., 71, of Lucama, passed away Thursday. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 11 a.m. Rev. Pete Norris will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6pm – 8pm on Sunday evening at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Junior was a dedicated employee of Bridgestone Firestone for thirty-two years working as a side wall trucker. He loved the Lord and going to church was a staple in his life. Junior was also an avid fisherman.

Junior is survived by his sons, James Derek Davis, Jacob “Ty” Tyrone Davis and wife, Crystal Gayle Davis of Lucama; grandsons, Caleb Nathaniel Davis, Luke Jeremiah Davis and Aydin James Davis; sisters, Wanda Evans of Lucama, Bonnie Webb of Stantonsburg and Connie Newcomb of Saratoga.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Terry L. Davis; parents, Albert and Marguerite Davis and daughter in law, Marlin Davis.
