James Louis Lamm, 93 of Wilson passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026. Military
service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Rev. Rex Edwards will officiate. Burial will be private for the family.
The family will receive friends Friday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.
James served his country with honor and pride and retired from the Navy after twenty years of service. He was a member of the American Legion in Wilson. James was a loving brother, grandfather and friend to all he loved. He was avid Duke fan, and loved to dance, most of all he loved to follow his children and grandchildren in their events, he was their biggest fan.
James is survived by his sisters, Besty Cone and husband, Pete of Middlesex and Alice Lamm of Raleigh; daughter, Donna Webb and husband, Elam of Saratoga; step-sons, H.F. Webb and wife, Cathy of Saratoga and James A. Bailey and wife, Margaret of Sims; step-daughter, Kay Parker of Winston Salem; grandchildren, Laura, Brandon, Tim, Scott, Justin, Holly and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Lamm; parents, Ervin and Gladys Lamm; brothers, Allen Lamm and Danny Lamm and his sisters, Ella Mae Wilson, Estelle Southers, Jean Daniel, Joyce Lamm and Louise Lamm.
