Janet Strickland Amerson

Janet Strickland Amerson, 65, of Wilson, passed away on Wednesday. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Stony Hill Free Will Baptist Church, 9646 Stoney Hill Church Road, Middlesex. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Rev. Ricky Anderson will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Janet is survived by her husband of 30 years, Roger Amerson; mother, Catherine Strickland; daughter, Tiffany Allen and husband, Brian; son, Jeffrey Amerson and wife, Caroline; stepson, Blake Amerson and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Jacob, Bryson, Kinsley, Brody, Colton, Abigail and Haevyn; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willis Strickland.
