Jeanette Taylor Jones October 17, 1933 – July 5, 2020 Jeanette Taylor Jones, 86, died peacefully Sunday afternoon. The family will have a private graveside service that will be conducted by the Rev. George Loveland. Those wishing to give their condolences may do so anytime at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway West, Wilson. Jeanette was the daughter of the late James William “Bud” and Myriam Thorpe Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Ray” Jones; sisters, Lillie Mae Franks and Nina Wertz; brothers, Russell Lee Taylor and James Thomas Taylor and great-granddaughter, Ava Marie Tyndall. Born in Wilson County, Jeanette dearly loved her family and treasured each and every one of her friends. She looked forward to walking with her early morning Parkwood crew then going to Bojangles for coffee. Jeanette spent many hours volunteering at her church and doing numerus things within our community. She was a member of Evansdale United Methodist Church. She is survived by sons, James Bennett “Bennie” Tedder (Beverly) of Lucama, Wayne Tedder of Kinston and Stuart “Butch” Tedder (Lisa) of Wilson; granddaughters, Leigh Ann Freeman, Jamie Tyndal and Jeri Edwards; great-granddaughters, Evelyn Freeman and Sydney Edwards; great-grandsons, Ayden Tyndall, Bentley Tyndall, Christian Edwards and Charlie Freeman and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Evansdale United Methodist Church, 4334 Evansdale Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
