Jeanine Lou Crone Denton

Jeanine Crone Denton, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on June 8, 1940, in Ogden, Kansas, Jeanine was the daughter of Alice Sanchez. Throughout her life, she was known for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Jeanine found joy in crocheting, traveling, and cheering on her beloved Kansas City Royals. She especially cherished spending time with her husband, Kenneth, putting puzzles together and sharing the simple moments that made life special. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being surrounded by her family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations.

Jeanine worked for many years as an administrative assistant with Nash County Public Schools. She loved her time in the schools, enjoyed working with children, and formed many lasting friendships with colleagues along the way.

One of Jeanine's fondest experiences was her time working at Walt Disney World, where she enjoyed being part of the magic and happiness that Disney brought to countless families. She also had a special love for Christmas, delighting in the traditions, decorations, and gatherings that made the season so meaningful.

Jeanine will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she generously shared with everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Kenneth Denton; her children, Kenneth Denton (Joan), Doug Denton (Gydelle), John Denton (Ashley), Gail Denton, and Jennifer Denton; her grandchildren, Rachael Denton, Christopher Denton, Emily Denton, Allie Denton, Leah Fricke and Allison Fricke; her great-grandchildren, Amelia Rogers, Alexiyah Denton, Elijah Denton and Aaliyah Denton; as well as extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Joyner Funeral Home in Wilson, NC on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
