Jerry Lynn Massengill

Jerry Lynn Massengill April 4, 1949 – September 6, 2020 Jerry Lynn Massengill, 71 of Wilson passed away Sunday. A graveside service will be held at noon Thursday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Bill Groce will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Jerry was in auto sales for over forty years. He raced on the dirt track and asphalt; he was an avid car enthusiast. Jerry was a loving husband, father, brother and friend to all that knew him. He will be dearly missed and thought of often with wonderful memories. Jerry is survived by his wife, Ginger Lucas Massengill of the home; sons, Jerry Lynn Massengill, Jr., Houston Jarrett Massengill and Zachary Ryan Massengill; granddaughter, Kelcey Lynn Massengill and his brothers, James Albert Massengill, Jr. and wife, Sandie and Wade Massengill and wife, Jean.
