John Walter Bryant

John Walter Bryant, 65 of Middlesex passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Rev. Mike Creekmore will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon prior to the service from 1 – 1:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

John is survived by his wife, Rita Bryant; sons, Jason Bryant and Dillon Bryant; daughters, Melissa Young, Torie Batt and Jessica Gilmore; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ricky Bryant and his sister, Kay Bryant Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Evan and Violet Bryant.
