John Ed Davis

John Ed Davis, 94 of Wilson passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Yelverton Family Cemetery, Kenly. John Turner will officiate.

John Ed is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Davis Gaster and husband, Keith of Bailey, and Michelann Rogers and husband, Steven T. of Wilson; sons, Russell E. Davis and Hilda Davis of Wilson and John R. Davis and wife, Teresa of Elm City; grandchildren, Chantz, Molly, Kyler, Crystal and Lucas and his great-grandchildren, Braxton, Jacob, Oliver, Ginger Avery, and Mazie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Martha Davis; sisters, Sadie Barnes and Martha Clyde Davis, and his brother, Guy Davis.
