Johnnie Worrell, Jr.

July 7, 1948 – February 1, 2022

Johnnie Worrell, Jr., 73, of Wilson, passed away Tuesday. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. Visitation will immediately follow services.

Johnnie is survived by his loving wife, Jean Worrell of Sims; daughter, Jennifer Worrell (Thomas-partner) of Wilson; step-daughters, Michelle Edwards (Chris) of Middlesex, Joanna Etheridge (Keith-partner) of Zebulon; granddaughters, Rebecca Hinton (Robbie) of Nashville, Leah Pilkington of Middlesex; grandsons, Bradley Worrell (Erica-fiancée) of Wilson, Will Edwards (Meg) of Sims, Matthew Briggerman of Zebulon, Jonathon Chisenhall (Abbey) of Hinesville, Georgia, Dylan Chisenhall of Angier; great granddaughter, Harper Hinton of Nashville and great grandsons, Grish Edwards of Sims and Jedidiah Chisenhall of Hinesville, Georgia; sisters, Linda Price, Deborah Keeny (Jake), Beverly Hill (Ronnie)and brothers, Jimmy Worrell (Barbara) and Bobby Worrell (Vickie); 4 nieces and 7 nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Ruby Worrell and son, Jason Worrell.

 Flowers are welcome as well as memorials in Johnnies’s name to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Nash UNC Hospitals, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Building 100, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, 27804.
