Jon Larry Bridgers

Jon Larry Bridgers, 61, formerly of Wilson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Jon loved NASCAR, the beach and sports, especially golf.  He was an avid Tarheel fan and had a passion for music.  He was greatly loved and will be missed.

Jon is survived by his daughter, Kristen Melvin and her husband, Michael of Windsor, VA; sister, Mamie Jo Bryant of Wilson; brother, Bently Bridgers of Wilson; sister, LeAnn Williams and husband Rob of Morehead City; grandson, Camden Melvin of Windsor, VA; and special friend, Wayne Yopp of Loris, SC.

Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Coleman Bridgers and Mary Cathryn Strickland Bridgers.
