Joseph Woodley Flowers April 8, 1944 – May 25, 2021 Joseph Woodley Flowers, 77 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. His funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. The Rev. David Varnell will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Joseph is survived by his sons, Joe Flowers and Jeffrey Flowers and wife, Mandy; granddaughters, Savannah Flowers Tripp and husband, Shane, and Gracie Claire Flowers; great-grandchildren, Georgia Lee Tripp, and Steven Brooks Tripp, and his brothers, Edward Gould Flowers, and Barry Flowers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Malpass Flowers; daughter-in-law, Vickie Flowers; parents, Johnnie Floyd and Bettie Edwards Flowers; sisters, Ruby Flowers Godwin, Betty Sue Flowers Varnell, and infant sister, Glory Mae Flowers, and his brothers, Floyd Selby Flowers and Ray Flowers.
