Juana Rodríguez González 1953-2020 Juana falleció inesperadamente el 18 de diciembre de 2020. Ella es sobrevivida por su esposo, Isidro Antunez Flores, y sus 10 hijos, varones; Santos Martínez Rodríguez, Manuel Martínez Rodríguez, Felipe Martínez Rodríguez, Froylan Martínez Rodríguez, Rodrigo Martínez Rodríguez, Gabriel Martínez Rodríguez y Valeriano Martínez Rodríguez, hijas; Elva Martinez Rodriguez, Hermelinda Martinez Rodriguez y Efigenia (Vicky) Martinez Rodriguez. Tenía más de 45 nietos e incluso 10 bisnietos. Murió despues que su amado padre, Froylan Rodríguez, su madre, María DeJesús González, y su nieto, Estevan Martínez Baza. Juana nació en El Cundan, Guerrero (México) y tuvo 13 hermanos. Cuando se casó, se separó y se dirigió a los estados para comenzar el comienzo del futuro de su familia. Se había jubilado recientemente y disfrutaba el tiempo con sus hijas y su familia. Siempre será recordada como una madre amorosa y una abuela que amaría incluso a aquellos que no eran biológicamente suyos como si fueran suyos. Survived by her husband, Isidro Antunez Flores, and her 10 children, sons; Santos Martinez Rodriguez, Manuel Martinez Rodriguez, Felipe Martinez Rodriguez, Froylan Martinez Rodriguez, Rodrigo Martinez Rodriguez, Gabriel Martinez Rodriguez, and Valeriano Martinez Rodriguez, daughters; Elva Martinez Rodriguez, Hermelinda Martinez Rodriguez, and Efigenia (Vicky) Martinez Rodriguez. She had over 45 grandchildren and even 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving father, Froylan Rodriguez, mother, Maria DeJesus Gonzalez, and grandson, Estevan Martinez Baza. Juana was born in El Cundan, Guerrero (Mexico), and had 13 siblings. When she married she parted ways and made her way to the states to start the beginning of her family’s future. She started her life here in the states migrating seasonally from FL to NC to work in the agricultural fields to support their family. After years of doing the same, Juana finally decided she was finished with moving around and settled down in Wilson, NC. Open to all neighboring children, her door to her big blue house was never closed, humbly welcoming anyone into her home. She had recently retired and was enjoying time with her daughters and family. She will be always remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who would love even those that weren’t biologically hers as her own. Her house, “the big blue house,” holds sweet, rich memories that we will always hold close to us forever. One of her proudest moments was becoming a US citizen in 2010, prior to this she was a U.S. resident, and opening the pathway to her family to for a better future for generations to come. A graveside service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery at 1:30 P.M. The service will be officiated by Father Phillip. The family wishes to thank everyone for their continued support and prayers during these difficult and trying times, anyone who wishes to drop off a candle or card is welcomed to the home of Elva Martinez, 701 Privette Street NE Wilson, North Carolina, 27893.
