Judith Irwin

Judith “Judy” Irwin, 85, of Wilson, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 4 p.m. at Bible Missionary Church, 2833 Tilghman Road, Wilson. Pastor Matt Roman and Pastor David Barnes will officiate.

Judy was born on June 26, 1940, in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Two of her favorite hobbies were cooking and crafts. Judy had a full active life and stated she had tried just about everything except jumping out of a plane. She was a member of Bible Missionary Church. She was a faithful servant who loved the Lord.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Irwin; sisters, Janet Ansheiwitz, and Joan Blye; brother, Donald Irwin and her long-time companion, Johnny Bailey.

She is survived by her son, John Gerrish and Kathye of New Hampshire; granddaughters, Michele Pettigrew and Jacqueline Gerrish both of New Hampshire, and Dana Gerrish of Maine; grandson, David Gerrish of New Hampshire; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Judy and the family wanted to wish their many wonderful friends, whom she loved dearly, special blessings and thanks for all the prayers and support given to her throughout the years. A very special thanks to Jeanie Holbrook and Jose Gonzales for their care and assistance.
