Julian "Doc" Ray Bryant

Julian “Doc” Ray Bryant, 89, of Spring Hope passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Joyner’ Funeral Home, Wilson. Pastor Jim Gillespie will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5 – 5:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Doc is survived by his sons, Dennis Bryant of Spring Hope and Mark Bryant and wife, Lou Jean of Spring Hope, Ed Taylor and wife, Susan of Rocky Mount, Bob Taylor and wife, Debbie of Nashville, Gene Taylor of Nashville, and Haston Taylor and wife, Shawn of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Alan, Hannah, Jacob, Andrew, Mollie, Jennifer, and Fred; three great-grandchildren and brother, Wallace “Tom” Bryant of Spring Hope.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Taylor Bryant; parents, Leamon and Estelle Bryant, and his sisters, Leta Mae Farrer and Edna Carroll.
