Julian Todd Minshew, 55, of Stantonsburg passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, October 31, 2026, on his favorite holiday, Halloween. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Rev. Zach Emory will officiate with Lee Evans giving the eulogy.
Todd loved his video games, any and all of them and he was an avid player, along with watching wrestling. He was a huge horror fan and passing away on Halloween would have made his day. Todd fought Brain Cancer for almost twenty years with dignity and strength, his battle was never about him but his family.
Todd is survived by his wife, Brittney Minshew of eight years; daughter, Rianne Minshew; sons, Dylan Minshew and Noah Minshew; granddaughters, Alora Joyner and Cora Minshew with two more on the way any day, Rylee Joyner and baby boy Minshew; parents, Julian Minshew and Dorothy Braswell; sister, Dawn Minshew; brother, Stefhen Minshew and his nephew, Brandon Mattox.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jasper and Lena Minshew and James and Fannie Mae Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, consider memorials in Todd’s memory to Presten Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke Univeristy, 047 Trent Drive, Baker House, Durham, North Carolina 27710.
Condolences directed to Joyner’s Funeral Home and Crematory at www.joyners.net.
