Kathleen Brantley Pipkin September 26, 1941 – January 18, 2016 Don Allen Pipkin April 23, 1936 – January 17, 2016 Don and Kathy were high school sweethearts that were married for fifty-seven years. A celebration of their love and devotion will be conducted at 2p.m. Sunday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The graveside services will be held at noon on Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. The Rev. Shawn Garnett will officiate both services. The family will receive friends Friday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the residence of Don and Kathy. The family request privacy from the video and news media during their time of remembrance. Kathy was the former owner and operator of Kathy’s Kreations and together they both owned Don’s Wholesale. Don was known as the “Ribbon Man”. Kathy was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church where she served her Lord, Women of the Moose, and a member of Golden Circle Optimist Club. Don was a member of the Moose for fifty years and served with the North Carolina National Guard for several years. Kathy and Don are survived by their daughter, Tammy Kenton and husband, Rob of Aberdeen and a grandson, Blake Kenton of Aberdeen. Kathy is survived by her brothers, Paul Brantley of Goldsboro and Ernest Brantley of Wilson. Don is survived by his sister, Sandra Jones Briggs and husband, Jim of Greenville, and his brothers, Ralph Pipkin and wife, Regina and Gary Pipkin and wife, Keith both of Saratoga, Tony Pipkin and wife, Ivey of Stantonsburg, and Gerald Pipkin and wife, Carla of Rocky Mount. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland Brantley and Nettie Brewer Brantley, and six sisters and brothers. Don was preceded in death by his parents.
