Katie Ann Batts Williams

Katie Ann Batts Williams, 82, of Wilson, passed away Sunday. A Graveside Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Memorial Park on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. Rev. Jason Duvall will officiate.

Katie was a resident at The Brian Center in Wilson, North Carolina at the time of her passing. She was a graduate of Elm City High School and was employed as a bookkeeper until her retirement.

Katie is survived by her daughter in law, Renee Williams; granddaughters, Catherine and Julia Williams; brother, James Batts (Barbara; sisters, Doris Pridgen, Ernestine Mercer (Billy), Pat Mullen, Shirley Gardner (Barry), Jo Bradshaw (Ronnie) and Sue Hancock, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Oliver Williams; son, Andy Williams; parents, Ernest Wesley Batts and Bertha Batts; siblings, Vernon Batts, Jack Batts, Bob Batts, Tom Batts and Grace Raper.
