Kenneth Eugene Denton

Kenneth Eugene Denton, 94, of Spring Hope passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The family will receive friends at a later date.

Kenneth served his country with honor and pride with the US Army on their rifle team; he fought in the Korean War and served two tours in Vietnam. Between serving in the Korean War and Vietnam he worked in Washington, DC at Arlington National Cemetery as an honor guard for the unknown soldier. He was very meticulous and this trait served him well while teaching shooting classes and solving puzzles. He was a huge fan of Disney, traveling and an avid Royals baseball fan. Kenneth loved to help his family, neighbors and his community. He was kind and loving person that will be greatly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his sons, Kenneth Denton, II. and wife, Joan, Doug Denton and wife, Gydelle and John Denton and wife, Ashley; daughters, Gail Denton, and Jennifer Denton; granddaughters, Emily Denton, Allie Denton and Rachel Rogers and husband, Zack; grandson, Christopher Denton and his great-granddaughters, Ameila Rogers, Aaliyah Denton and Alexiyah Denton and great-grandson, Elijah Denton.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years, Jeanine Denton; parents, Christopher and Bertha Denton and four siblings.
