Larry William Bly

Larry William Bly, 79 of Wilson passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, September 10, 2021, from 4 – 6 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Services will be held later in New Hampshire.
Larry was born on August 3, 1942, in Claremont, New Hampshire to his parents, Yvonne LaPoint Bly and Robin Bly. He served his country with honor and pride with the US Navy from 1961 – 1964 on the USS Leahy. Larry was a longtime employee for Joy Manufacturing and Emco Wheatin. He was a dedicated and avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, New York Giants, and NC State.
Larry was a loving and devoted husband to Brenda Corriveau Bly for fifty-four years. They were married on July 29, 1967 and made a beautiful life in Claremont until 1985 when they decided to move to Wilson. Wilson has been their home for thirty-six years.
Larry is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughter, Lisa Fowler and husband, Gene of Lucama and son, Larry Bly and wife, Ann Marie of Idaho, who was an amazing father to them and his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Tyler Fowler and wife, Leigh Ann, Stephanie Fowler and Zach Richardson, Victoria Dodson and husband, Charles, Ashlen Coble, and Cameron Woody and his great-grandson, Noah Dodson. His brothers, who are referred to as the “Bly Boys” from New Hampshire, Nathan Bly and wife, Marion, Jerry Bly and wife, Shirley, and Robert Bly and wife, CeCelia, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved dearly. Family meant everything to Larry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robin and Yvonne LaPoint Bly.
