Larry Revis October 6, 1948 – January 29, 2021 Larry “Ronnie” Revis, 72 of Sims passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at Vidant Medical Center after fighting a brave battle with Leukemia. His memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. Ronnie was born in Alexandria, Virginia to Ben and Evelyn Revis. After graduation from Falls Church High School, he entered the Army, serving three years in Darmstadt, Germany. After returning home to the states, he had his chance to follow his biggest dream … “Cars”, by going into a partnership with his brother-in-law and father-in-law in the auto salvage business. He moved to Wilson and later became the sole owner of S&R Automotives. Ronnie was able to accomplish this dream for thirty-nine years. Ronnie is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Sharon Revis; his children, Ronnie Revis, Jr. and Michele Greene Barnes; grandson, David Greene; sisters, Brenda Van Pelt and Dianna Smith, and his brother, David Smith.
