Lawrence Acosta Hysler January 15, 1936 – January 6, 2021 Lawrence “Larry” Acosta Hysler, 84 of Wilson passed away Wednesday. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Wayne Whitley will officiate. Larry is survived by his wife, Delores Blackburn Hysler of the home; step-sons, William Ray Gourley of San Diego, Robert David Gourley of Manassas, Virginia, and Kent Clark Gourley of Tallahassee, Florida; sons, Lawrence “Chip” A. Hysler of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Scott Anthony Hysler of Richmond, Virginia; daughters, Cathy Lynn Wigmore of Oxfordshire, England, and Lisa Luby Ryan of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
