Leonel Solorio Chavez, 37 of Black Creek, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025.

Mr. Chavez will lie-in-state on Monday, November 24th, beginning at 3:00pm at his family’s home, 125 Spencer Rd, Lucama, NC 27851. Graveside services will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 25th, at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop Ln Forbes St SE, Wilson, NC 27893.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Mejia; sons, Erick Solorio and Brian Solorio; daughters, Jamie Mejia, Jaylynn Mejia, Kimberly Solorio, and Alejandra Solorio; brothers, Librado Gonzalez (Maricela Hernandez), Virgilio Gonzalez (Maribel Renteria), and Aparicio Gonzalez (Angelica Martinez); sisters, Victorina Gonzalez, Esther Gonzalez, Teresa Chavez (Audifred Gonzalez), and Juanita Solorio; and father, Vincente Solorio.

Preceding him in death is his mother, Anastasia Chavez Carbajal.

El velorio del Sr. Chávez se llevará a cabo el lunes 24 de Noviembre a partir de las 3:00pm en el domicilio familiar, ubicado en 125 Spencer Rd, Lucama, NC 27851. El servicio funerario se realizará a las 2:00pm del martes 25 de Noviembre en el cementerio Rest Haven, ubicado en 1910 Hillman Dr SE, Wilson, NC.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Patricia Mejía; sus hijos, Erick Solorio y Brian Solorio; sus hijas, Jamie Mejía, Jaylynn Mejía, Kimberly Solorio y Alejandra Solorio; sus hermanos, Librado González (Maricela Hernández), Virgilio González (Maribel Rentería) y Aparicio González (Angélica Martínez); hermanas, Victorina González, Esther González, Teresa Chávez (Audifred González) y Juanita Solorio; y su padre, Vicente Solorio.

Le precedió en la muerte su madre, Anastasia Chávez Carbajal.
