Linda Diane Tamez

Linda Diane Tamez, 58, passed away on Sunday, April 30.  Family will receive friends on Friday, May 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home in Wilson, NC.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 6 at 11:00 am at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Reverend Bobby Tucker will officiate.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Abel Tamez; sons, James Lee Mayo of Bailey, son, Abel Tamez, Jr. of Stantonsburg, and son, Mark Tamez of Wilson; daughters, Amanda Norris of Wilson and daughter, Tracy Mayo of Bailey; sisters, Wanda Davis of Black Creek, Tammy Batten of Black Creek, Denise Tedder of Sims, and Patricia Raper of Lucama; brother, Keith Carey of Black Creek; and eleven grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ernestine Carey; stepfather, Isaac Kirby; one grandchild, Baby B, and sister, Cathy and Janet.
