Linwood "Sam" Clifton Williams

Linwood “Sam” Clifton Williams, 81, of Wilson passed away on Friday, September 29.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 5 at 6:00 pm at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.  Pastor Gerald Parker will officiate.

Family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service.

Sam is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda Carol Beaman Williams of the home; sons, Scott Williams and wife, Darlene of Snow Hill, Ashley Williams of Wilson, Johnny Williams and wife, Mary of Wilson, and Anthony Williams and Stephanie of Sims; sister, Sue Thorne of Bailey; brother, Nolan Williams of Wilson; seven grandchildren, Kody, Kaleb, Kayden, Jeremy, Kaylee, Elizabeth, and Lacey; and brother, Glenn Williams.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Clifton Williams and Ollie Mae Weaver Williams; brother, Bud Williams; and sisters, Minnie Clark and Lettie (Ted) Cosby.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with final funeral expenses.
