Lois Diane Griffin Denton February 15, 1944 – September 5, 2020 Lois “Diane” Griffin Denton, 76 of Middlesex passed away Saturday. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12-12:45 p.m. with her funeral following at 1 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. The Rev. Butch Gordon will officiate. Interment will be private. Diane is survived by her husband, Harold Douglas Denton; sons, Greg Denton and wife, Deborah, Scottie Denton and wife, Cathy, Robbie Denton and wife, Patricia and Stephen Denton and wife, Robin; grandchildren, Alexandra Denton, Brandon Denton and wife, Casey, Christopher Denton and wife, Holly, Joshua Denton and Jonathan Denton and special “granddaughter”, Haley Bunting; great-grandchildren, Emmalee Kuhl, Garrett Kuhl and Dawson Denton; siblings, Roscoe Griffin and wife, Kathy, Mavis Seagroves and husband, John; sister-in-law, Phyllis Griffin and many loving nieces and nephews, her close friends and Samaria Baptist Church family. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Virginia Griffin and her brother, David Griffin.
