Lois Lucille Poole

Lois Lucille Poole, 80, of Elm City passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson. John Turner will officiate.

The family will receive friends prior to service from 1 – 2 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.

Lois Lucile Poole was caring, humble, funny and loving. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed watching her old westerns and any fast and furious movie. She also was a strong woman of faith all the way until her last day. She knew God will carry her the entire way. Your family and friends love you very much and this isn’t goodbye, it’s a see you later.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Jacobs and Crystal Jacobs; grandchildren, Crystal Smith, Christopher Smith and Michael Smith; great-grandchild, Jaxson Anderson; sister, Dot Everette; brother, Rudolph Poole and wife, Linda, and her niece, Nicole Gonzalez and husband, Marcelino.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lucille Poole; daughter, Sherry Jacobs; son, Angel Gonzalez; and her sisters, Carolyn Griffin, Deborah Moore and Venise Skinner.
