Lula Thorne Moehrbach

Lula Thorne Moehrbach July 7, 1941 – August 18, 2014

Lula “Lu” Thorne Moehrbach, 73, of Wilson passed away Monday. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Stuart Milton will officiate.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway.

Lu was a retired Executive Assistant in the banking industry and a member of West Nash United Methodist Church. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Rudy E. Moehrbach; a daughter, Barbara N. Denny of Wilson; a son, Richard Denny of Wilson; a step-daughter, Erika Drayer and husband, Jon of Franklin, PA; two grandsons, Travis Denny and wife, Nichole P. of Spring Hope, and Aaron Denny and wife, Kelly of Bailey; a brother, Marvin Thorne of Clearwater Beach, FL; and two brothers-in-law, Otto Moehrbach of Roswell, GA and Hermann Moehrbach of Chicago, IL.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin Denny.
