Marjorie K. Singer, 92, of Allen, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026.
Marge was born on May 5, 1934, in Podunk, Madison County, Iowa. Throughout her life, she was a devoted Catholic and an active member of several women’s organizations at the Catholic parishes she attended. Her faith, kindness, and servant’s heart touched countless lives.
Above all, Marge cherished her family. She was a loving wife, devoted mother to five daughters, proud grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and dear friend to many. Her gentle spirit, unwavering love, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherri and Clay Culberth of Southern Pines, North Carolina; Janet and Larry Cook of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Peggy and Tony Parker of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Shelley and Lanny White of Wylie, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and her longtime caregiver and cherished friend, Nancy Newberry of Hinton, Oklahoma.
Marge was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert John Singer; her daughter, Margie Campbell; her granddaughter, Kelly Jo; her grandson, Ricky Winters; her great-great-grandson, Sterling Gerber; her parents, Cepha and Derry Emerson; and her siblings, Mary Hildebrand, Rose McNeer, Carrol Warhola, and Paul Emerson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Chapel, 9400 St. Ann’s Drive, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73162.
A Memorial Service celebrating Marge’s life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway West, Wilson, North Carolina 27896. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., with the memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Marge’s memory to the charity of your choice.
