Marvin Brooks Jordan

Marvin Brooks Jordan, 82, of Elm City passed away Friday, July 25, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson.

The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10 – 12 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Marvin loved red corvettes. He was a hard worker, and he loved to joke around, but he was serious when it was time to be.

Marvin is survived by his sister-in-law, Linda Benton; niece, Jessica Ward and fiancé, Dominic Oubre, Sr. and her children, Jalen Ward and wife, Taylor (their son, Easton), Katelynn Ward and Sophie Ward; numerous nieces and nephews; his Eastbound Mechanical family, and dogs, Hobo and Bailey.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Janis: parents, Marvin and Glossie Jordan; one brother and several sisters.
