Mary Ann Sherrod

Mary Ann Sherrod, 82 of Elm City passed away Saturday, October 3, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Rev. Gene Wells will officiate.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5 – 5:45 at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Roy Sherrod, Jr.; children, Robbie Hendricks and wife, Barbara, Michelle Hendricks and husband, Johnny, Todd Whitley and wife, Penny, and Stevie Whitley and wife, Joanie and Susan Bridgers and husband, Pete; granddaughters, Shannon Horne and Brooke Goedhard and husband, Danny; grandsons, Chad Hendricks and wife, Melinda, Hunter Hendricks, and Daylon Hendricks; great-grandchildren, Skylar Horne, Carter Horne, and Saralyn Goedhard, and her sister, Phyllis Bradshaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ruby Jackson; step-son, Delton Sherrod; sister, Frances Burnette, and brother, Roy “June Bug” Jackson, Jr.
