Mary Catherine "Cathy" Ferrell

Mary Catherine “Cathy” Ferrell of Bailey passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024.   Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2024, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  Rev. Todd Green will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Cathy is survived by her daughter, Valerie Hawley and husband, Stanley of Bailey; granddaughters, Kayla Horner and husband, Blake of Lucama, Allie Hawley and Sarabeth Hawley of Bailey, Jessica Perry of Rocky Mount, and Anna Perry of Spring Hope, and three great-grandsons; sister, Janie Sutton of Raleigh, and her devoted friend, Jimmy Waddell of Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Lucas Perry; parents, Worth and Lessie Williams; sister, Jean Shreffler, and her brothers, Jack Williams and Punk Williams.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the Hospice of Wilson team and to her caregiver, Elaine Todd for their support, care and love over the past year and half.
