Mary Edith Hatch

Mary Edith Hatch August 12, 1929- July 12, 2021 Mary Edith Hatch, 91 of Wilson stepped through the pearly gates into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 1:30 a.m. on Monday July 12, 2021. It was her long desire and highly anticipated dream come true. She often spoke excitedly of the day she would walk the golden streets with her husband of sixty-eight years, Joseph Thomas Hatch, and that glorious journey has begun. She was a much beloved and devoted long-time member of the Lucama Independent Holiness Church. In the seventies and eighties, Mary cared for many children in her home. Today, as adults, they have fond memories of those days and remained friends with her throughout her life. Mary is survived by four children, Freddie Hatch and wife, Elaine of Woodlands, Texas, Donnie Hatch of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jo Ann Hatch Bailey and husband, Johnnie of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Randy Hatch and wife, Kathy of Wilmington; two granddaughters, Stephanie Hatch Delzer and Karli Hatch Blystone and four great-grandchildren.
