Mary "Jo" Pittman

Mary Jo Pittman, 76, of Wilson passed away Friday, April 17, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. Rev. Ray Wells will officiate.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, April 24, 2026, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Jo is survived by her son, Robert “Robbie” Beamon, Jr. and wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Mallory Beamon and Parker Beamon, whom she loved with all of her heart; brother, Tommy Ballance and wife, Kay and a host of loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, her mother, her sister and her brother-in-law.

Jo spent most of her adult life in retail. She enjoyed her time spent at Belk and Flower’s Shoes at Parkwood Mall and spoke often of her experiences and the many friends she made there over the years.
