Mary Kathleen Sykes Mercer, 91, of Wilson passed away Wednesday.  Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The Rev. Sam Cullifer and Evangelist Woody Parrish will officiate. The family will receive friends 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at the home of Joyce Ferrell. Mary Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Joyce Faye Mercer Ferrell and husband, Tommy of Wilson; her grandsons, Christopher “Chris” Ferrell and wife, JoAnn and William “Bill” Ferrell and wife, Kansas; her great-grandson, Will Ferrell; great-granddaughter, Amber Marie Ferrell and her sister, Frances Dilda and husband, Alfred of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Mercer; her parents, Beauregard Sykes and Ella Forehand Sykes Jones and her sister, Chellie S.
