Mary Rachel Lamm

Mary Rachel Lamm, 84, of Wilson passed away peacefully at home with her daughter, Beverly and Ann Durham, RN by her side on Friday, September 26, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Pastor Derek Bossolono will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson until 8 p.m.

Mary was in the Women’s ministry at Shiloh Church of Wilson, where she served faithfully. She was member of the Women’s Red Hat Group, and one of her favorite places to visit was the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall. Mary loved doing crafting, ceramics, cake decorating, and in her younger years, bowling.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Beverly Lamm; sister, Nola Medlin Braswell and husband, Bobby; her grand fur baby, Angel and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Morris Lamm, daughter, Wanda Lamm; parents, Nathaniel and Haddie Mae Medlin; sister, Ruby Medlin Stewart, and her brother, Bernice Nathaniel Medlin.

The family would like to express their thanks to Ann Durham, RN, Rhonda Karwick, HHA, Mary Frieson, HHA, Crystal Gowen, SWA, and Pastor Derek Bossolono and all the other caring friends at Gentiva Hospice of Wilson for their support and compassion.
