Melinda Barber Stancil

Melinda Barber Stancil, 58, of Elm City passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery, Upper Black Creek Church Road, Lucama. A visitation will follow at the graveside.

Melinda is survived by her son, Jeremy Parker of Stantonsburg; daughter, KayCeé Stancil of La Grange and fiancé, Drew Oliver; granddaughter, Lylah Arizpe of La Grange, and many special cousins and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Barber Woodard; brother, Wayne “Peanut” Lamm, and grandmother, Agnes Etters.
