Millard Woodard, 79, of Bailey went home to be with the Lord on Monday.-Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Wednesday at Joyner-s Funeral Home.-Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Bailey Town Cemetery.-Pastor Steve Edmondson and Pastor Ed Toler will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday immediately following the service at Joyner-s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway and other times at his residence.

Millard was a member of Middlesex Church of God.-His hobbies included building bird houses and stools that he gave away.-He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Millard is survived by his wife Annie Ruth Joyner Woodard of the home; his daughters, Vicki Jordan Lamm and husband, Vance of Bailey and Cathy W. Casale of Raleigh; his five grandchildren, Chris Jordan and wife, Angel of Columbia, SC, Chad Jordan and wife, Denise of Spring Hope, Brandy Pendley and husband, Matt of Maxton, Fallon Scianna of Charlotte and Matthew Braswell of Raleigh; his two step-grandchildren, Angel Holland and husband, Jerry of Kenly and Cameron Lamm of Bailey; fifteen great-grandchildren and his three brothers, Melvin Franklin Woodard of Kinston, James Alonza Woodard and Charles Ray Woodard both of Princeton.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Ray Woodard and his parents, Wilbert George and Flora Mae Daughtry Woodard.
