Pauline Ferrell Pope

Pauline Ferrell Pope, 90, of Lucama passed away Saturday, September 20, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday evening, September 26, 2025, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. The burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday morning, September 27, 2025, in Kenly Town Cemetery, Kenly. Rev. David Kriger will officiate.

The family will receive friends Friday evening immediately following the service at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Pauline was a member of St. Mary’s Free Will Baptist Church, where she served her Lord faithfully and with a loving heart for others. Pauline will be dearly missed with wonderful memories.

Pauline is survived by her sons, Doug Pope and wife, Jo Ann of Kenly and David Pope and wife, Betty of Kenly; daughter, Denise Blalock and husband, David of Wilson; granddaughters, Olivia Strickland and husband, Bennett of Fayetteville, and Erin Walton and husband, Chris of Garner; grandson, Collin Blalock and wife, Ashley of Wilson; great-grandchildren, Mia Walton, Gray and Palmer Strickland, Alaina Blalock, and two great-grandchildren arriving soon; sister, Bet Taylor of Wilmington, and her brother Fuzzy Ferrell and wife Yvonne of Lucama.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, William D. “Billy” Pope; parents, Alonza and Nola Taylor Ferrell ; sisters, Margie Jones, Josephine Bryant and infant Nancy Irene Ferrell, and her brothers, Vernon Ferrell and Vance Ferrell.

The family would like to thank Dr. Hal Woodall for his many years of devotion and care for their mother. Also, a special thank you to Ronnie Bass, Crystal Barnes, Gentiva Hospice and Spring Arbor of Wilson.
