Rev. Sidney Bryant Webb

Rev. Sidney Bryant Webb, 83, of Wilson passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, June 6, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home in Wilson. Interment will follow in Thompson Chapel Church Cemetery, 5620 Thompson Chapel Church Road in Wilson. Rev. Patsy Jones will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning prior to the service from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Rev. Webb was born on June 30, 1942 and was the youngest of 12 children. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He adored his family, who will miss laughing at his jokes and delighting in his stories. He loved his collection of classic cars and enjoyed fishing, cooking, and sharing a meal with loved ones. Rev. Webb was called to the ministry in the early 1980s and ordained by the International Pentecostal Holiness Church in 1989. He loved to preach and to be used by God to win souls, ultimately serving as lead pastor at 11 different churches. His family is forever grateful for the blessing of his love and presence.

Rev. Webb is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Elaine Pridgen Webb; his daughter, Melissa Webb Best, and son-in-law, Terry Deems Best, and their children, Brittany LeighAnne Best (husband Jason Sanders), Ashley Elizabeth Campochiaro (husband Joseph Campochiaro), and Colin Deems Best (fiancée Cydney Smith); his son, Joseph Bryant Webb, and daughter-in-law, Katie Hagwood Webb, and their daughter, Reagan Claire Webb; sisters, Nanny Malloy and Linda Haynes; and brother, Donald Webb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Mattie Lee Webb; sisters, Hortense Beamon, Doris Boswell, Frances English, Jessie Williams, and Lucille Poole; and his brothers, J.B. Webb, Jr., Frank Webb, and Raymond Webb.

The family would like to express its gratitude to 3HC Home Care and Hospice and their devoted staff for their tender and excellent care. They are also sincerely grateful for the love, prayers, and support they have received during this difficult time.
