Ruby Frances Gardner, 81, of Wilson passed away Friday at the Brian Center.  A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  The family will receive friends Tuesday 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.  at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson prior to the service. Frances grew up in Holdens Crossroads Community.  Frances is survived by her boyfriend, Donnie Cooley of Kinston; her niece, Kim Hineon of Cary and her nephew, Al Gardner of Rocky Mount. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Benjamin and Mamie Lee Howell Gardner; her brother, Donald Gardner and her aunt, May Bell Proctor. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of the Brian Center for their loving care that Frances received there in her final years.
