Ruby Jeannette Thorne

Ruby Jeannette Thorne, of Elm City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2025, with her family present. Jeannette was born on October 6, 1939, and she was 85 years old.

She is survived by sons, Jack Sharpe and his wife, Lita and Dave Sharpe and his wife, Suzanne; her sister, Rachel Thorne of Elm City; her 12 grandchildren and her 4 great-grandchildren with the fifth on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thurmond and Pollie Thorne of Elm City; brothers, Redmond and Fred Thorne, and sister and brother-in-law Blessin and Elton Vick.

A private, family graveside service will be held.
