Russell Kelly Skinner, Jr.

Russell Kelly Skinner, Jr., 77 of Wilson passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Rev. Richard Price will officiate.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon prior to the service from 2 – 2:45 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

Russell retired from Firestone after thirty years. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend to all who knew him. Russell was loved and he will be dearly missed.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Skinner; daughter, Sherri H. McKeel and husband, Joe Flowers of Wilson; son, Russ Skinner and wife, Angie Tsiliggires of Wilson; sisters, Ella Temple and husband, Stan and Barbara Bass and husband, Russell both of Elm City and his brother, George Skinner and wife, Kathy of Pilot.
