Ruth Williams Bass

Ruth Williams Bass, 92, of Bailey passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Bailey Town Cemetery. Rematha Davis will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, August 27, 2026, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway Wilson and other times at her home.

Ruth is survived by her son, Glenn Bass and sister, Joan Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arthur Bass; son, Randy Bass; parents, Willard and Sudie Williams, and her sisters, Shelby Bailey and Betty Lou Waddell.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Gentiva Hospice of Wilson and her caregiver, Mary Edge for her compassion, care and love given to Ruth.
