Sandra "Sandie" McFarlane Massengill

Sandra McFarlane Massengill May 24, 1946 – October 5, 2021 Sandra “Sandie” McFarlane Massengill, 75 of Wilson passed away Tuesday. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson. Rev. Charles Robl and Rev. Rachel Price will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:30 – 2:45 p.m. Saturday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the residence. Sandie was a devoted and faithful member of Winstead United Methodist Church. She loved singing and was a long-time choir member, and a member of the Wilson Chorale. Sandie loved to garden, and she was an adamant football and racing fan. Sandie is survived by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Jim Massengill of the home; sister-in-law, Ginger Massengill; brother-in-law, Wade Massengill of Bristol, Virginia, and her nephews, Houston Massengill, Zachary Massengill, and Lynn Massengill all of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Jerry and Nellie Butler McFarlane.
