Shirley Marie Worton Bissette

Shirley Marie Worton Bissette, 69 of Wilson passed away Saturday.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Joyner’s Funeral Home, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery, Middlesex.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home.

Shirley was a retired realtor and she loved animals, especially her dogs and cats.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend to all who knew her.  Shirley was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Steve Bissette; daughter, Lisa Bissette Patterson and husband, Rusty of Bailey; sister, Gloria Williams and husband, Durwood of Wilson; brother, Robert Worton and wife, Billie Jean of Elm City, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Sylvia Worton, and her brother, Alfred William Worton.
