Shirley Carlisle

Shirley Carlisle, 74 of Lucama passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023.  A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson.  Donnie Williams will officiate.

Shirley was an avid reader and also enjoyed walking, especially on the beach.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Marsha Heath and husband, Kris, and Linda Ann Connelly and husband, Steve; son, Larry “Bobo” Harold Carlisle and wife, Vicky; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, June Baker, Joyce Peoples, and Sylvia Babe; brothers, Tom Babe and Allen Babe, and her granddaughters and loving caregivers, Cassie Grady and Melissa Amerson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Junior Carlisle; son, John Marshall Carlisle; sister, JoAnn Kyser, and her brothers, Lyle Babe and Gerald Babe.
