Stanley Glenn Davis

Stanley Glenn Davis, 69, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18 at 4:00 p.m. at Joyner’s Funeral Home in Wilson.  Interment will be immediately following funeral service at Rock Hill Cemetery on Lamm Road.  Visitation will be following the interment and other times at the residence.  Reverend Thomas Johnson will officiate, along with speaker, Jose Devarona. 

Stanley was owner and operator of Davis Cabinet Company and formerly worked at S.T. Wooten.  He was also on the Board of Trustees at Southern Bank.

Stanley was an avid dirt track race fan and supporter of Lucas Oil Racing.  He loved traveling, especially for fine foods, barbecue, praise and worship music, singing with his girls at church, fishing with his grandboys, and making pancakes for the family.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Hal Woodall, Dr. Anwar Haidary, and the Wilson Medical Center ICU nurses and staff.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Gail Etheridge Davis; daughter, Shanna S. Wood (Ricky); son, Blake Sanders (Lynn); adopted daughter, Amy Carter; grandchildren, Kaleb Wood, Silas Wood, Jarrah Wood, Alexi Sanders, and Landen Sanders; mother, Velma Davis; brothers, Keith Davis (Susan) and Robbie Davis (Cathy); niece, Meagan Eldridge (Justin); nephews, Jonathan Davis (Allison), Jason Lee (Erin), David Howell, Daniel Howell, and Zachary Howell; and granddog, Buck.

Stanley was preceded in death by his father, Glenn R. Davis; father-in-law, R. Louis Etheridge; and best friends, Carlton Lamm and Seth T. Wooten.

Flowers are welcome, but donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
